Client: Lupus Canada
Sector: Healthcare / Nonprofit / Patient Advocacy / Awareness

The Problem

Lupus Canada needed to raise awareness around lupus by putting a human face to the condition. The goal was to share the story of Alice Osei in a way that could educate, inspire hope, and encourage support for lupus research and awareness.

The Strategic Challenge

Medical awareness content can easily become too informational or too emotionally heavy. The challenge was to tell a story that honoured the difficulty of lupus while still leaving viewers with hope, empathy, and a reason to care.

The Solution

BIGSIX MEDIA produced a branded content video centred on Alice Osei’s personal journey. The video used patient storytelling to create an emotional connection, educate viewers, and support Lupus Canada’s broader awareness and fundraising efforts.

The Deliverables

Main branded content video, patient story film, awareness-focused narrative content, fundraising support asset, and multi-platform video content for website and newsletter use.

The Outcome

The video served as an awareness and fundraising tool, helping Lupus Canada connect with supporters and potential donors. The portfolio notes that the video was used on Lupus Canada’s website homepage and in its Holiday Newsletter, increasing its reach across multiple donor and supporter touchpoints.

“From the beginning of the process of working together, Andrew was organized, creative, and communicative. The thoughtfulness and overall quality of the video was astonishing. We are thankful for the services provided and would recommend any organization or person to use his services.”
